While planning a simple family golf vacation to Scotland, Nelson Berry realized that the only tours being offered fell into one of two different categories:
- high-quality, high-service, high-priced
- diluted quality, do-it-yourself, moderately-priced
He founded Tour De Links with the vision to service a niche that demands a high-calibre trip at a reasonable price.
Nelson has paired up with Mike Wright of Walker Golf to bring the best possible tours of Scotland and Ireland. Nelson met Mike on his first visit to Scotland. Mike is a native of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Together they have conducted tours where golfers have played the great links courses of Scotland ranging from Royal Dornoch to Cruden Bay to Carnoustie to Royal Troon to Gleneagles to North Berwick to Machrihanish and the great links courses of Ireland like Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, and Old Head of Kinsale. Every tour has played Turnberry, Kingsbarns, and St. Andrews Old Course. The Old Course cannot be guaranteed. However, Mike does all he can to make every golfer’s dream come true (a round on the Old Course.) So far, over 98% of our clients have played the Old Course.
